I just found a YouTube channel you might like, called "More Noble Berean."  I've only watched a few videos (so I don't know all her beliefs, which means there may be things I disagree with her about), but this woman - Patti - warns against a lot of the same things I've warned against, such as:






But the video that really caught my attention was this one: Kat Von D Got Baptized

It made me smile because I wrote a post with a similar heart: Calling out High-and-Mighty, Holier-than-Thou Judges, in defense of Kat Von D

I really appreciated that Patti was standing up for Kat (a brand-new believer), giving her the benefit of the doubt.  It was far more gracious than many of the things I read from other Christians who condemned Kat from the very beginning.  Patti's gracious attitude is what made me want to highlight her YouTube channel here, to encourage other people to check out what she has to say.  You might find something you like and agree with, or something new to learn.

[Okay, another one finally from the "hardest spiritual lessons" series.] Being Truly, Humbly, Actively Thankful Luke 17:15-18:     “One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.    He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him – and he was a Samaritan.    Jesus asked, ‘Were not all ten cleansed?    Where are the other nine?    Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?’” Ten men were healed.    Only one came back to thank Jesus. A neighbor just sent this link to me , a video clip (just a minute long) from a woman sharing how she is just done with everything, how she's on autopilot and just wants Jesus to come back again. I absolutely get everything she said and have felt the same way for several years now. Can anyone else relate? Here's a transcript of what she said (I think she voiced what a lot of us have been feeling, like we've been treading water, just trying to get by until the end):  "Does anybody else just ... Be Wary Of The Christian Post

(Written 6/15/18)  Occasionally, I check in with the Christian Post to see what's going on in the world that specifically relates to Christians.  And generally, I've never really had any red flags go up about this website ... until now. A recent article by Stoyan Zaimov, with a title that starts "Christian Lesbian rock star ..." goes on to share this woman's story about being assaulted by a male priest when she was young.   However, I don't think the reason for this article is to talk about the abuse she suffered and her courage in speaking up.  I think this is a deliberate attempt to affirm Christian homosexuality.  The very fact that they put "Christian" and "lesbian" in the title makes it sound like it's indeed possible to be a Christian and a practicing homosexual who sees no need to change. Christian Testimony: Kyle - "Suicidal Atheist Finds Jesus"

Instead of reading the depressing news lately, I've been spending some time listening to hope-filled, truth-filled, uplifting testimonies from other Christians online.  It's been far too long since I've heard some good, godly, inspiring life-stories from other believers.  And we could all use every little bit of hope and inspiration and goodness we can get right now.   I really enjoy hearing people's testimonies of when and how they came to the Lord.  I like when they let us deep into their worlds, into their hearts, giving us a full picture of how they were before, what drew them to Jesus, how it affected them, etc.  And this guy's shares it all, from the heart.  I really enjoyed it.   Suicidal Atheist Finds Jesus (22 minutes long, and totally worth it!)   And here is the video of his wife's baptism (the YouTube channel these videos are on is hers).  It's beautiful. A Website Worth Visiting: Hoppers Crossing Christian Church

I recently found a good website that has lots of information about the dangers and errors of Calvinism:  Hoppers Crossing Christian Church .  (Also try this link for blog post.)
