Okay, so about 40% of Americans in a recent survey say that gender isn’t determined at birth.   Hmm? Hmm? … Let me think about that a minute … If I say that a horse isn’t a horse, that it’s really born as an unspecified species and that, if it wants to, it can grow up to be a squirrel or a dog or a cow … does it really change its “horseness”?   If I say that my chromosomes are not human chromosomes but eagle chromosomes, does it make me an eagle?      Does denial or wishful thinking change reality? We can live in denial of reality, but our beliefs don’t change reality. (It’s funny … but living in denial of reality used to be called “crazy.”   Delusional.   Now it’s considered hip and progressive and celebratory.) A Pre-Trib Rapture is the Most Merciful Option (repost)

(Repost, with some additions) Some people have a lot of trouble accepting the idea that God would rapture the church out but leave everyone else to go through the tribulation.    They think it is heartless and cruel of Him.    I, however, think that a pre-trib rapture is the most merciful thing God could do. In the movie   Left Behind   (with Nicolas Cage), a young woman who missed the rapture looks around at all the pain and heartbreak and devastation ... and she screams out about how the loving God her mother worshipped would never cause something as tragic as that to happen.    He would never take people away and let others be left behind to face the troubles of the tribulation. Or would He? The thing is, I think a pre-trib rapture shows just how loving and merciful and patient He is, how much He wants everyone to come to Him. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You that we live in a country that values democracy, that gives us the right to choose our leaders.  This is such a privilege, even when things don't go our way.  Thank You that You gave us a president these last four years who generally stood for Your values, who worked to stop our slide into godlessness and moral decay.   Thank You also, Lord, for Your promise to work all things out for the good of those who love You.  In Your hands, even all the bad, confusing, and messy things are turned into something good and beautiful and worthwhile.  Let us who love You remember always that no matter what happens, You are a good, trustworthy, loving, powerful, wise Father who knows what's best and who is carrying out plans that we can't even fathom.  I thank You that we who trust in You do not have to lean on our own pathetic power and limited wisdom, but that we have a big God whom we can pray to, who answers prayer, who will handle...
