A Christmas Story For You

Nearly 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ was born to bring us salvation, so that anyone can believe in Him and be saved.  He was born in a barn and placed in a manger because there was no room for them in the Inn.  Jesus - God the Son - came to earth as a poor, helpless baby ...
But that's the ONLY time He's going to do that.

 The next time He comes back, it won't be as a poor, helpless baby.

 It will be as a powerful King and righteous Judge - gathering His faithful people to Him and dishing out swift justice on those who have taken their stands against Him.

 Amen!  Come, Lord Jesus!

It sounds like someone's been reading the POP translation of the Bible - the "Pile Of Poopies" version: A Gay Writer Who Forgot Almost Everything Jesus Said . Calvinism: False Gospel or True (but warped) Gospel?

Here are some new comments  which were recently added to the Soteriology 101 post  Calvinism Obscures the Simple Gospel .  It's kinda a  friendly "debate" among non-Calvinists about if Calvinism is merely a warped version of the true gospel or if it's a false gospel.   (These are lightly edited for clarity.) This is the next-to-last of the "Satan's Schemes" posts in the Spiritual Warfare series (and it's a repost from something I wrote elsewhere)... and then I'll  move on. John 10:10 :  "Jesus said, ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy...'" Why am I so harsh towards Calvinism?

I added this as a final post on my anti-Calvinism blog , but I want to share it here too - because all over my blogs, you'll see that I am not kind towards Calvinism.  I take very strong stands against it, to the point of calling it a false gospel.  And occasionally, I've been called out by other Christians, even by non-/anti-Calvinists, for being too harsh.   Why would I be so harsh against other Christians?  Why would I call Calvinism (which correctly says we need to "believe in Jesus and be saved") a "false gospel," instead of saying (as one non-Calvinist said) that it's the "true gospel, just deformed"?  Why do I take such a strong, ungracious stand against it?  Can't we all just get along? (Happy New Year!)  Please, allow me to vent and to listen to myself rant.  And come along, if you want, on a trip through m y mind  (I apologize in advance for how the messy it is😉) : Are you exhausted?  I am.  I am sick and tired of all the craziness out there, all the chaos, fighting, hate, lies, fear-mongering, violence, increasing prices (for less product or services), natural disasters, wars, rumors of wars, AI this-and-that, Big Pharma, social deviance/immorality, efforts to force people to tolerate social deviance/immorality, political posturing and mudslinging and nonsense, etc.  ("You can stop the world now, God.  We wanna get off.")   I am sick of both social media and the news - because everyone just wants to fight, scream their opinions, demand their way, calls names, make accusations, and force everyone else to agree with them and do things their way.  E verything's an "us vs them" thing, and "if you don't agree with 'us' ...

Why We All Want There To Be A God!

(This was written November 2017 on my other blog after various horrible shootings shook up our country.) I believe that - deep down - every normal decent person wants to believe in God.    They want there to be a God, no matter how much they might deny it.    And do you know why? One word …  justice . Consider for a moment all the shootings that have been happening (and that’s just a tiny bit of the violence that is going on world-wide).    These men have shot up multiple people, killing many, injuring many more, ruining lives and destroying families.   And then these cowards kill themselves or get shot by police. They get to wreak havoc and destroy people … and then they get to end their lives, never having to face up to what they did.    They get to simply die and go into the ground, leaving their terrible mark on humanity while never having to answer for what they did, never being punished for what they did.     There i...

After constantly hearing how gracious Leighton Flowers ( Soteriology 101 ) is to everyone, even Calvinists whom he severely disagrees with, I feel convicted about something... And so right now, I do hereby apologize to James White for constantly referring to him as "weasely" whenever I quoted him saying that God had to  decree child-rape  or else it would be a meaningless and purposeless evil.   I mean, of course, Jesus had a few choice ways of describing people (particularly religious, high-and-mighty, false teachers who led others astray): dogs, pigs, hypocrites, wolves, wicked, adulterous, prideful, glory-seeking, whitewashed tombs full of dead men's bones, blind guides, sons of hell, snakes, brood of vipers, internally-dirty cups, greedy, self-indulgent, etc.  [And here's some good advice from White himself: "Jesus did not seem to believe that you should soften hard words."😆]*   But Jesus never called anyone "weasely". TULIP's Totally-Depraved Doctrine (a snippet)

[This is a snippet from  another post (but slightly updated here) that will be coming up later.]  Calvinism's TULIP petals are all built on each other, one after the next.  And it all starts with "total depravity" (their bad definition of it) : R.C. Sproul  ( Total Depravity part 1 ) :   "... if a person really embraces the doctrine of total depravity, the other four points in this five-point system more or less fall in line. They become corollaries of this first point." And so if they can get you to buy into their view of total depravity (as "total inability"), they can easily get you to buy into their whole TULIP, ensuring that you will become a Calvinist.
