This is the last half of the post "What's The Best Way To Make People Agree With Your Calvinist Views."   But I put it here in its own post so that it's easier to find. Be Wary Of The Christian Post

(Written 6/15/18)  Occasionally, I check in with the Christian Post to see what's going on in the world that specifically relates to Christians.  And generally, I've never really had any red flags go up about this website ... until now. A recent article by Stoyan Zaimov, with a title that starts "Christian Lesbian rock star ..." goes on to share this woman's story about being assaulted by a male priest when she was young.   However, I don't think the reason for this article is to talk about the abuse she suffered and her courage in speaking up.  I think this is a deliberate attempt to affirm Christian homosexuality.  The very fact that they put "Christian" and "lesbian" in the title makes it sound like it's indeed possible to be a Christian and a practicing homosexual who sees no need to change. (Oh, how we love nonsense in our country!) We women are fighting so hard to be like men, to downplay femininity, to be perceived as more masculine, to overtake any "men's realm" we find.   Because it’s “cool” and “progressive” and “strong.” But do we not realize that we are not “leveling the playing field” so much as we are destroying ourselves , the things that make women special? Women can be strong, too.   And they don’t have to be like men to do it.   Trust me, I know.  I've had four children, one by c-section and three by natural, drug-free homebirth (with over 15 hours of labor for each one).  And then I work in the home every day, all day long.  No pay.  No vacation time.  No weekends off.  No bonuses.  No overtime pay. This is basically exactly what I said about the media too.  So much truth here: It's Official: The Liberal Left Has Now Openly Declared War On Christianity In so many ways, the media (and social media) has caused and fed the social problems we are seeing nowadays in our country.  Shame on them!  (The whole Covington School thing makes me sad.  That 16-year-old boy did nothing wrong and has nothing to apologize for, and yet he's being trashed in the media and has to deal with the mess the media has made in front of the whole country.  Shame on all you media people who, before you had the whole story, twisted everything to make a sensationalized story for your own twisted purposes!) (picking up where we left off in part 1 ...) And that brings us to this year.   This year I wasn't going to make any New Year's resolutions.  I was like "meh, who cares?" But then, two things grew naturally in my mind, goals for this year.  (The first one will take three posts, and then I'll share the second one after that.) A Warning about Prophetic Messages and Speaking in Tongues

There are a couple videos I recently linked to of someone sharing the spiritual warfare they've gone through.  It was good advice and on-track biblically.  But since then, she's done videos more along the lines of "prophetic messages," sharing dreams she's had and what she thinks God is saying through them to the people watching her videos, including the prophecy that God is going to bring someone an unexpected business opportunity.  This makes me leery, and it makes me want to share a quick warning about those kinds of "prophetic" messages.   I don't want to quench the Spirit or limit His work, or anything like that.  And I don't know exactly what this specific woman is experiencing (so I'm not writing this specifically about her, but about things like this).  And I don't know exactly how the Spirit works nowadays through spiritual "gifts."  So this is just my opinion, a word of caution.  (There's a note about the "gif...

  [In this series, I'm breaking the long post   "Why is Calvinism so dangerous?"   into bite-sized pieces.] 5.    The Bible says ...  God   expects us to seek Him in order to find Him, to find new life in Him. But Calvinism says ...  God commands us to seek Him but no one can seek Him unless He makes them seek (and He only makes the elect seek/find/believe in Him).
